The Senate Committee on Information and Communications Technology and Cyber Security also secured broad endorsement for a separate bill seeking to establish an Artificial Intelligence Academy in Omuo-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Special Adviser to President TINUBU on Policy Communications, DANIEL BWALA, who stated this on Wednesday during an interview, said the letter serves as further evidence that the administration's policies and engagements are yielding positive results.

Chairman of the committee, YUSUF GAGDI, warned that the panel would not tolerate non-compliance with its directives, stressing the need for full cooperation from all individuals and institutions involved in the investigation.

The 12-member committee was inaugurated to probe the process through which the PFIPC was included in the 2026 budget, as well as the allocation of ₦1.3 billion to what lawmakers described as an illegal government agency in the 2026 Appropriation Act.

As Chairman of the REA Board, FAYOSE will serve alongside AHMADU ABUBAKAR and ILYASU MAKINTA, who were appointed as members and non-executive directors,  the agency's Director-General, ABBA ABUBAKAR ALIYU, and three previously appointed executive directors.

The report stated that troops of the 145 Battalion (Mechanised), led by their Commanding Officer, advanced to the location, and on sighting the troops, the suspected terrorists reportedly fled the area.
