ARSENAL PUT SIX BEHIND SHEFFIELD UNITED TO MAINTAIN PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE CHASE.
North London side Arsenal added Sheffield United to their list of thrashed teams as they beat Chris Wilder’s side 6-0 to move back within touching distance of title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the table.
Having beaten West Ham 6-0 and Burnley 5-0 in their most recent away games, the Gunners found themselves five up at half-time thanks to goals from Martin Odegard, Jayden Bogle’s own goal, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz,and Declan Rice.
There was more joy for Arsenal as Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus, and Fabio Vieira made their returns from injury to add to the Gunners’ depth but they lost Brazilianwinger Gabriel Martinelli to a worrying second-half injury.
