President Muhammadu Buhari has emphasized that he will campaign for members of the All Progressives Congress APC contesting the 2023 general elections and not former members of the party or politicians who have court cases against the APC.

Buhari in a statement yesterday through his senior Special assistant on media and publicity Garba Shehu, said he remains a disciplined soldier of the APC, and will, in all the coming elections, support only those candidates fielded by the party and no other.

He declared that his statement is not against any particular candidate but noted that his stand is clear that only those candidates fielded by the APC would enjoy his support and campaign

The President also directed officials in and around the Presidential Villa and all those engaging in gossips to resist making controversial statements that will eventually end up hurting the party and the government, thereby providing a weapon for the opposition to use against the administration, the party, or its candidates in the coming elections.
