National Union Of Electricity Employees Suspends Nationwide Strike.

National Union of Electricity Employees NUEE has called off its nationwide strike, following an emergency meeting yesterday with the Minister of Labor and Employment, Chris Ngige.

Ngige’s Spokesman Olajide Oshundun, who announced that his boss intervened in the industrial action, said he set up a tripartite committee to look into the grievances of electricity workers towards addressing them.

Secretary General of NUEE, Joe Ajaero, assured that electricity would be restored across the country immediately.

The workers shut down all Transmission Companies of Nigeria TCN offices earlier yesterday.
