Veteran Nollywood actor, Romanus Amuta, popularly known for his role Natty in New Masquerade, is dead.
Amuta died at the age of 79 in a hospital in Lagos after battling a protracted ailment.
His first child, Chukwuma Amuta, who confirmed his death to newsmen, described him as a caring father who did his best to raise his children.
Amuta, who is an indigene of Ukana, in Udi LGA of Enugu State, came into the limelight after he featured in the New Masquerade, a TV series which was one of the most popular in the 80s.
