The Chairman of the All-Progressives Congress APC in Ebonyi State, Stanley Okoro Emegha has vowed to do all within his capacity to ensure that incumbent Governor David Umahi wins the Ebonyi south senatorial seat in 2023.
Emegha while addressing newsmen in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, for uploading Umahi’s name as the authentic senatorial candidate of the party for Ebonyi south senatorial zone.
He said there was no time the excos of APC in Ebonyi had doubts about the release of names of the candidates by INEC because they followed due processes, and as such, those that emerged were the people that the members of the party in their various wards, constituencies, and senatorial districts voted for, to go and contest in the forthcoming general election, come 2023.
The chairman also reacted to the allegation making the rounds in the state that, the party used a different delegate list to conduct, the re-conducted Ebonyi south senatorial primary election, which according to investigations, resulted in the edging out of some contestants.
