Elder Statesman and former Secretary General of Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, Pa Nduka Eyah, has reacted to the autobiography recently launched by a Former military president of Nigeria, Ibrahim Babangida, titled: “A Journey in Service” in which Babangida gave an account of his personal life and contribution to leadership of the country.
Pa Eyah who featured yesterday on Urban Radio Flagship programme, The Parliament, pointed out that the former military president did not provide a complete account of the occurrences during his reign, but emphasized that the 1966 coup was orchestrated by military officers and was not associated with the Igbo tribe, contrary to initial speculations.
He further commended the autobiography recently launched by the former military president and lamented the leadership challenges faced by the Nigerian state, which he attributed to the negative influence of past military rule in the country.
Former military president of Nigeria, Ibrahim Babangida who ruled the country from 27th AUGUST 1985 to 26th August, 1993, launched an autobiography titled: “A Journey in Service” 20th February 2025, where he gave account of past notable events and raised funds of over 17 billion naira for construction of presidential library.
