The National Security Adviser NSA, NUHU RIBADU, said there is a positive turn in the security landscape of the southeast geopolitical zone, particularly in Enugu State, while he commended the effort of the Governor, PETER MBAH for the fight against insecurity in the state.

RIBADU shared this assessment in an interview with newsmen yesterday, after the inauguration of the new zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC in Enugu State.
The Host PETER MBAH stated that the opening of the new EFCC zonal office reconfirms the commitment of the Nigerian government to sustain the war against corruption.
He said he perceived the opening of the new EFCC office as a revival of the commission in the southeast, seven months after fire destroyed the previous office.

The Chairman of EFCC, OLA OLUKOYODE thereby assured the governor and the people of the state, that the commission would remain more committed to delivering their mandate to citizens.
Urban Radio correspondent IFEYINWA OGBUE reports that others present at the event included, the Secretary to the EFCC, Heads of Security and Para Military Agencies, members of Enugu State Executive Council, Local Government Chairmen, Clergies, members of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Civil Society Organizations.
