MINISTRY OF DEFENCE  TO  STRENGTHEN COUNTRY’S SECURITY FORCE.

The Minister of Defense, CHRISTOPHER MUSA  has reiterated Federal Government’s commitment to curbing insecurity in the country.

MUSA made the remark while receiving Major General MATTHEW BROWN of the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force in Abujawhere he said the government will deepenmilitary cooperation with the United States(U.S), to  eliminate insecurity particularly incounter-terrorism operations.

The Minister also highlighted key areas to enhance the countries cooperation, including: modernisation of defence infrastructure to strengthen local capacity, Specialised joint training for Special Forces, intelligence sharing and capacity building, enhanced border surveillance and security amongst others.

In his remark, BROWN celebrated Nigerians on their Independence Day and reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to working with Nigeria’s Ministry of Defence to ensure that lives and property are protected.
