The traditional ruler of the Igbagwa Nike kingdom, Igwe Emmanuel Ugwu says traditional rulers are supposed to be apolitical with the coming of the 2023 general elections.

Ugwu who stated this yesterday on the Urban Radio breakfast political program, The Parliament, said the concern and role of the traditional rulers are that of peace and the well-being of the nation, encouraging the people to come out in mass and vote.

The Secretary of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria PFN Micheal Onyebuchi Paul, who also featured on the program, reiterated that they have a department, directorate of politics and governance, which helped with the sensitization of the people during the period of the PVC registration as well as preparing the people to come out and vote during the 2023general elections

The chairman of the Muslim Corpers Association of Nigeria MCAN, Abdulhammed Musir, on his part emphasized the need for Muslim Leaders to gather themselves and align with other religions to make sure that the process of electioneering goes accordingly.
