President Buhari Vows to Continue Campaigning For Freedom of Speech in Democracy.

President Muhammadu Buhari has guaranteed that the participation of citizens in democracy would continue to be encouraged through freedom of speech and robust political discourse.

Buhari while receiving Letters of Credence from Ambassadors and High Commissioners of six countries at the State House in Abuja yesterday, told the diplomats that Nigeria’s strength remains in its diversity and the constant differences in positions which signifies a strong democratic culture.

The Ambassadors and High Commissioners of Democratic Republic of Congo, Gerengbo Pascaline, Republic of India, Gan/Ga/Dha/Ran Bala/Subra/Manian, Germany, Annett Gunther, The Kingdom of Netherlands, Willem Plomp, Sudan, Mohamed Abdelmannan, State of Palestine, Abdullah Shawesh presented their Letters of Credence to Buhari.

As they settled down to their diplomatic responsibilities, he urged them to build on the existing good relations that their predecessors had achieved by being more proactive in engagements.
