The Ohanaeze Ndigbo has reiterated its position that the Peoples Democratic Party PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, should be rejected at the polls in 2023 because they abandoned the zoning arrangement before its presidential primary election.

The Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, Okechukwu Isiguzoro in a statement yesterday said the PDP should not be trusted having breached its constitution unlike the All Progressives Congress APC, which zoned the position to Southern Nigeria,

Isiguzoro said anyone who breached the gentleman arrangement by their patriots for a rotational presidency between the North and the South as enshrined in the consciousness to balance equity, inclusiveness, national peace, and stability of the country does not mean well for Nigeria.

He stressed that Atiku’s desperation is not healthy for the Northern region as the North has seen total neglect, poverty, and insecurity, urging them to seek liberation from the illusion of ethnicity and break the spells of deceit that the PDP and the former vice president are using ahead of the 2023 election.
