Governor Soludo Places 10 Million Naira Bounty on Anambra Burial Attackers.

The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has announced a 10 million Naira bounty each for information leading to the capture of each of the gunmen responsible for the killing that occurred in a compound at Umuike, Ubahuekwem community in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state.

About seven persons, comprising five police officers and two unarmed civilians lost their lives on Monday when some yet-to-be-identified gunmen invaded the area and began shooting sporadically at burial planners who were preparing for a burial ceremony.

Soludo, who announced the bounty in a press statement released yesterday by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and sympathized with the families and friends of the victims, assuring the community that those responsible for this violent act would be brought to justice.
