GOVERNOR OF ENUGU STATE FREEZES ALL GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTS.

The government of Enugu State under the new Governor Peter Mbah has directed that all bank accounts belonging to the government be frozen with immediate effect until further notice.

The directive was contained in a statement signed yesterday by the Secretary to the State Government SSG, Professor CHIDIEBERE ONYIA.

Similarly, the Governor of Abia State Alex Otti also directed the immediate freezing of all accounts of the state government and those of its agencies domiciled in every bank and financial institution across the state and around the federation.

Otti who gave the orders in a statement he issued through his media office signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Ferdinand Ekeoma also dissolved all boards of Abia State government agencies and parastatals and ordered the heads of all the dissolved agencies and parastatals to subsequently hand over to those next in line to them.
