The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to strictly observe its announced schedule for the 2027 general elections, maintaining that electoral regulations should be applied uniformly to all political parties.

The party’s National Chairman, Professor NENTAWE YILWATDA, made the appeal while hosting a pre-election fact-finding delegation from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, where he emphasised the importance of ensuring a transparent, fair and predictable electoral process.

YILWATDA warned against changes to electoral deadlines that could place any political party at an advantage, stating that the APC had already inaugurated its campaign council, begun campaign activities and submitted its candidates through INEC’s portal.

He further stated that the party would not exploit its political dominance to intimidate or undermine opposition parties, stressing that every political party should have equal opportunities to access the media, campaign venues and other recognised platforms.
