Nigerian Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele has announced that her highly anticipated film, Everybody Loves Jenifa, will be released in cinemas on December 13, 2024.
Akindele made this known in a video posted on her Instagram account yesterday, which showcased casts of her previous movie, A Tribe called Judah in a thug of war with casts of her upcoming film.
The video which is seen as a strategic ploy to promote the anticpated film, included star studded casts for the upcoming film including Patience Ozokwor, Omowumni Dada, Lateef Adedimeji, Nancy Isime, Bisola Aieyola, Tobi Makinde, Chimezie Imo, Stan Nze, Falz, along with Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah, comedian, Layi Wasabi and many others.
Everybody Loves Jenifa is expected to continue the legacy of the Akindele’s Jenifa franchise, which includes The Return of Jenifa and the television series, Jenifa’s Diary.
Akindele has been described as the unparalleled box office maestro after her executively produced 2023 blockbuster Nollywood Film, titled, A Tribe Called Judah, became the highest grossing movie of all time after garnering over one billion Naira within 21 days of its release in the box office, a success which surpassed her earlier films, Battle on Buka Street and Omo Ghetto.
