The Director-General, National Information Technology Development Agency Nitda, Kashifu Abdullahi says Nigeria is now a global supplier of tech talents following yesterday’s unveiling of the second batch of 60 Africa Startups grantees of the Black Founders Fund BFF initiative by Google in Abuja

Abdullahi, in his remarks during the unveiling ceremony, said the project will boost Nigeria’s Digital Economy, adding that it is a golden opportunity for Startups because funding is one of the biggest challenges facing Nigerian tech. ecosystem.

He stated further that the initiative would help Nigeria create more talents in the country because Nigeria cannot compete with the big countries in terms of hardware manufacturing, but in terms of software and talent.

Meanwhile, the Head, of Startup Ecosystem Africa, Folarin Aiyegbusi, has disclosed that Africa’s challenges need to be solved through deliberate efforts by Africans and globally and there was no better time than now to solve the challenges.
