ENUGU WEST LEADERS RELEASE DOCUMENT WHERE EKWEREMADU AGREED TO ZONING

Enugu West leaders, under the umbrella of Ife Emelumma has tendered a document signed by the a caucus of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in 2013 showing that there was a meeting where zoning was discussed and agreed.


Addressing journalists alongside other leaders of the group, the convener of Ife Emelumma, Ben Collins Ndu explained that in the well-attended meeting in 2013, the State caucus agreed on the rotation of the governorship position, adding that over 50 stakeholders, including former Governors, Sullivan Chime, Okwesilieze Nwodo, Senator Ekweremadu, Vita Abba, Eugene Odod, amongst other.


Ndu said they were surprised that the former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu last week challenged advocates of the zoning arrangement insisting that much is expected from the former Deputy Senate President especially as it concerns respecting a document he jointly signed with other stakeholders.


Urban Radio Correspondent, Emeka Chiboke recalled that the former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu while presenting his blue print of development for Enugu State, in the build up to his governorship declaration stated that there no zoning arrangement, and it was foisted on the people by political leaders for their own interests.
