CAF Releases Draws For The Confederation Cup Playoffs

The Confederation of African Football CAF yesterday released the draws for the playoffs round of the Confederation Cup, with the qualified teams set to go straight into the group stage of the competition.

Teams who failed to make it to the group in the Champions League including Nigeria’s representative Rivers United and Plateau United were among the teams that have been drawn.

Rivers United who lost to the defending champions Wydad Casablanca 7-2 on aggregate, was drawn against Al Nasr of Libya while Plateau United who crashed out on away goal rule to the Esperance of Tunisia after playing out a 2-2 draw on aggregate will face Al Akhdar of the same country.

Rivers United will host the first leg at the Adokiye Amasiamaka Stadium on November 2^nd and Plateau United too at the Mko Abiola while they both travel to Libya for the 2nd leg slated for November 9th.
