Following the level of political, socio economic and security challenges bedeviling the nation, the Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province and Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma has cautioned that a revolution that will reshape the state of the country is almost here.

While noting that the church is very much concerned about the state of the nation, Chukwuma during his pre-Synod press conference yesterday at the bishop’s court, asked the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to quit, if it cannot find lasting solution to the security problems facing the country.

He expressed sadness over the increasing rate of abduction and killing of Christians in different parts of the country, urging the Christians to find a way and defend themselves.

The revered clergy said that negligence and misplacement of priority by the leaders has caused more harm, hence the need to encourage youths in leadership.

Urban Radio Correspondent Ifeyinwa Ogbue revealed that the synod will kick off on Thursday 23rd to Friday 26th June 2022, with the theme, Feeding the Sheep.
