The Governor of Enugu State Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has sworn-in the new Chief Judge of Enugu State Fojuru Raymond Ozoemens to replace the retired chief judge Priscilla Emeghelu who attained the retirement age of 65, as confirmed by the members of Enugu State House of Assembly.
UGWUANYI during the official swearing in of OZOEMENA, stated that he is convinced that the judicial council was in good hands, considering the proper research made both at the federal and state level to find the new chief judge worthy, and also for allotting enough time for such investigation.
The new Chief Judge OZOEMENA, after taking the oath of allegiance, commended his colleagues and members of the judicial service commission for their support and for believing in him, pledging his dedication to service to judiciary and the state in general.
Urban Radio Correspondent Ifeyinwa Ogbue who witnessed the swearing in, said that among the officials present were Secretary to the State Government Professor Simon Ortuanya, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State Milletus Eze, former President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Nnia Nwodo, and other top government functionaries.
