Benue State governor, Hyacinth Alia, has suspended his Special Adviser on Documentation, Research, and Planning, Mkor Aondona.

Recall that the embattled aide was arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC over allegations bordering on sextortion, cyberbullying, and blackmail.

However, in a statement issued yesterday and signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, Governor Alia described the development as deeply troubling, stressing that his administration would not shield any appointee found wanting in criminal or unethical conduct..

He further ordered the immediate and indefinite suspension of the adviser, pending the outcome of ongoing investigations, reaffirming  his commitment to transparency and accountability in public office.
