The Commissioner for Women and Children’s Affairs Anambra state, Ify Obinabo says the State government has set up a family court to handle matters relating to domestic violence.

Obinabo, said the court already has 10 pending cases, with nine suspects remanded, warning that the government of Chukwuma Soludo has zero- tolerance for domestic violence.

While revealing that Anambra had the lowest cases of domestic violence, the commissioner lamented that the state had recently recorded five deaths occasioned by domestic violence.

She maintained that her ministry would continue to ensure that the act is put under check.
