The Nigeria U20 female side, Falconets this morning defeated their French counterpart 0-1 at the ongoing FIFA U20 women’s world Cup in Costa Rica.

The game which was played at the Estadio National De Costa Rica is the first game in Group C and was decided by an 85th minute cool finish by Flourish Sabastine after being fed with a through pass by MERCY Idoko who found space despite being marked by the France defense.

Nigeria Started brightly as the France goalkeeper made saves from Esther Onyenezide and eventual goal scorer, Sabastine to keep the score goalless at first half.

Although, the first half was halted for some minutes due to heavy downpour, their European Counterpart came out strongly to make sure Nigeria was pushed back to their own half.
