SOUTH WEST FORUM FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CALLS FOR SUPPORT OF ORJI UZOR KALU FOR SENATE PRESIDENCY

A socio-political group, the South West Forum for National Development SFND has called for the support of all senators-elect for the aspiration of former governor of Abia State Orji Uzor Kalu to become the next President of the Senate.

The group, in a statement jointly signed by its National President, Oladokun Aridunu-Omo, and National Secretary Soji Ikotun in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital said that Kalu is the most qualified among other contenders.

SFND noted that the incumbent Senate Chief Whip, apart from being a ranking senator and a principal officer in the Red Chamber, is the most fully prepared for the task ahead, adding that it is in the public knowledge that he has been a pan-Nigerian who has the interest of the South East and all Nigerians at heart.

They said Kalu’s emergence would silence agitations by the South Easterners of being marginalized by the Apc and is experienced when compared with other members from other geo-political zones is second to none.
