REF Music Records Global, a leading music and entertainment company founded in 2021 by Egwuchukwu Raymond and Frank Nwaiwu, has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting unique sounds from Nigeria to a global audience. What started as a record label has now blossomed into a full-fledged entertainment powerhouse, showcasing rich cultural heritage and musical versatility.
With over 300 live performances across Nigeria, REF Music Records Global has become a household name in the entertainment industry. The band has graced prestigious stages, performing alongside top artists like Jeriq, Chike, and Kolaboy at major events such as the 2023 Jeriqhood concert in Enugu and the 2024 Kola from the East concert. They have also lit up events like the funeral of Flavour’s father, Enugu Road Block, Jägermeister Carnival, and various fashion shows and food festivals, sharing the spotlight with renowned bands like The Cavemen and The Compozers.
The live performance wing of REF Music Records Global was born out of a passion to showcase the exceptional talents of South Eastern Nigeria. Both founders, Raymond and Frank, are seasoned instrumentalists. Raymond on bass and Frank on guitar. Their vision has brought together a talented ensemble of 12 members, six vocalists, including Kelly (Director of Vocals), Somtow, Ifeanyi (Industry Smoke), Shevaun, Chizzy, and Keybaby, who can effortlessly deliver any genre of music. Skilled instrumentalists like C-Dub (Music Director and Keyboardist), Biggie (Bassist 1), Cardinal Junior (Drums & Percussions), Obedstrings (Guitar 1), Frank (Guitar 2), and Cardinal (Bassist 2).
