NEW COMMISSIONER OF POLICE IN ENUGU STATE EMBARKS ON CONFIDENCE-BUILDING PATROL TO END SIT AT HOME.

The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State Kanayo Uzuegbu yesterday embarked on a confidence-building patrol within the Enugu metropolis.

 

He used the opportunity of the patrol to interface and encourage citizens to, in line with the pronouncement of the Governor of Enugu State Peter Mbah that stopped the illegal sit-at-home order in the State, go about their lawful businesses without any form of fear.

 

Uzuegbu noted that ensuring the security and safety of the people remains topmost on his policing agenda for the State, stressing that the Police, working with other Security Forces and law-abiding citizens, shall remain undaunted in stabilizing the security order in the State.

 

Some locations, including markets and motor parks, where the Commissioner patrolled and interfaced with traders, transporters, and other citizens are Eke-Obinagu Emene, Afia Nine, Abakpa, Mayor, and Gariki, among others.
