MAN SUES EFCC OVER ALLEGED WANTED DECLARATION.

A Nigerian based abroad identified as, OLUWATOSIN ADEKUNLE, has sued the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), over his  alleged declaration as a wanted person by the anti-graft agency.

In an affidavit dated August 24, ADEKUNLE alleged that the EFCC declared him wanted on August 19 and published the notice on its website and social media platforms without obtaining a court order. 

ADEKUNLE alleged that the matter arose from a case involving his business partner, VICTORIA NWACHUKWU , who is being investigated over alleged money laundering and obtaining money under false pretenses. 

He maintained that there was no direct evidence linking him to any offence and argued that the commission could not declare him wanted without proper legal authorisation.
