Legendary pop star Madonna has said she is on the road to recovery in her first statement since a bacterial infection left her in a hospital’s intensive care unit.
Madonna in her message on Twitter said her focus now is her health, thanking fans for their positive energy and promising to be back with them soon.
The 64-year-old pop star said her current plan was to reschedule her forthcoming North American concerts and begin her Celebration Tour in the United Kingdom UK in October.
She had been due to start the greatest hits tour in Canada on Saturday, 15 July, while the European leg is scheduled to begin with four nights at London’s O2 Arena from 14 October.
