Nollywood blockbuster ‘Issakaba’ is set to return to cinemas nationwide on November 13, after 25 years of its original release in 2001.

Speaking at a media screening in Lagos, Nigerian film director and producer, LANCELOT  IMASUEN, said the film’s return was an opportunity to reflect on Nigeria’s security challenges, and explained that the original story was inspired partly by events involving the Bakassi Boys and criminal activities in Anambra State.

IMASUEN stressed that the film explored how communities respond to crime and insecurity when they feel that conventional security agencies are not doing enough.

The film features veteran actors alongside younger Nollywood stars, including   FRANCIS ONWUCHE, IYABO OJO, REGINA DANIELS, PHYNA OTABOR amongst others.
