The Kogi State Government has strongly refuted allegations made by suspended lawmaker, NATASHA AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN, and accused her of attempting to incite public unrest and deliberately violating security directives.

In a press statement issued by the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, KINGSLEY FEMI -FANWO, the government dismissed AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN’s claims that the Governor of the state, AHMED USMAN ODODO, former Governor, YAHAYA BELLO, and Senate President, GODSWILL AKPABIO should be held responsible if any harm comes to her, describing the allegations as “reckless, malicious, and utterly false.”

The government insisted that the suspended senator had intentionally disregarded the restrictions on political gatherings, a measure it  said was put in place to prevent security breaches.

Furthermore, it accused AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN of consistently engaging in “lawlessness, using lies and deceit as her tools of political engagement.
