The Presidential aide Ajuri Ngelale yesterday evening announced that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will visit Nigeria in October as part of moves to further strengthen economic ties between both nations.
Ngelale said the decision was reached on the sidelines of the G-20 meeting in New Delhi, India, where President Bola Tinubu and the German leader met.
After Tinubu expressed his desire to expand the partnership between the countries Scholz thanked him for the discussion and opportunity to advance their economic relations, adding that Nigeria’s market is unique and German companies have a history in Nigeria.
After meeting the German leader, the president held talks with his South Korean counterpart Yoon Suk Yeol who commended the President’s regional leadership.
