FUNKE AKINDELE REFLECTS ON HER JOURNEY FROM STUDENT HUSTLER TO MOVIE STAR

Nollywood producer and actress, FUNKE AKINDELE, has revealed the various jobs she undertook to support herself while studying at the University of Lagos.

Speaking during a recent interview, the award-winning filmmaker said she taught herself nail-making by watching others at Yaba before offering the service to fellow students.

AKINDELE explained that nail-making was only one of several businesses she engaged in while in school, adding that she also sold cakes, worked as a makeup artist, designed costumes and sourced filming locations to earn a living.

The actress further revealed that she worked behind the scenes as a location manager, explaining that she negotiated payments with property owners for filming locations, noting that her experiences shaped her resilience and strong work ethic
