Nigerian actress-turned-politician FUNKE AKINDELE has announced plans to contest again for a political position in the next election.

Recall  that the actress was the running mate to the Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in 2023, ABDULAZEEZ ADEDIRAN,.

Following their defeat to BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU of the All Progressives Congress, APC, FUNKE AKINDELE took to her social media page to delete all politically related posts

However, responding to her loss during her latest interview, the actress who had remained silent on political matters since 2023 — announced plans to contest again, saying that politics made her bold, courageous, and strong.
