The Enugu state government, has announced plans to host the inaugural, EnuguTechnological Festival, ETF in May this year.
The Commissioner, Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, LAWRENCE EZE,who disclosed this while briefing newsmen, said the Tech Festival which would commence from May 6 to May 9, 2025, will take place at the International Conference Centre Complex, Enugu, under the theme, COAL TO CODE,and aims to foster innovation and boost the state’s position as one of West Africa’s leading tech hubs.
EZEH, noted that the ETF, which is a collaborative initiative between the Enugu state tech and Startup Ecosystem as well as the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, is designed to support and inspire young professionals within the tech industry.
The commissioner added that no fewer than 10,000 people would be expected to participate at the festival which will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, pointing out that technology giants such as Google, Amazon and other big names in the tech world have indicated interest in the festival.
The event, will also feature a wide array of activities, including rallies, panel sessions, networking opportunities, and exhibitions.
