ENUGU STATE SETS TO HOST 23RD NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL

Enugu State Governor, PETER MBAH, has assured that the state will host the 23rd National Sports Festival as scheduled.

The Governor gave the assurance at the Government House early this week when he received a National Sports Commission Advisory Team, led by MOC Consultant, KWEKU TANDOH, who briefed him on preparations for the Games.

The delegation highlighted progress made by the Main Organising Committee and Local Organising Committee, as well as areas requiring the Governor’s intervention to ensure the Festival meets the required standards and timeline.

PETER MBAH directed immediate action on all issues raised and ordered the establishment of a monitoring team to provide him with daily updates on preparations.

The Governor further assured that the Games Village and competition venues would be ready before the opening of the Festival, and ordered the immediate commencement of media publicity and marketing activities to create awareness and mobilise Nigerians for the event.
