ENUGU RANGERS RETAIN TOP SPOT IN NPFL TABLE AFTER DEFEATING BENDEL INSURANCE

Enugu Rangers yesterday boosted their chances of winning a ninth Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title after securing a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Bendel Insurance.

Former league top scorer, GODWIN OBAJEwas the hero for the Flying Antelopes, scoring both goals to keep his side at the top of the NPFL standings heading into the final round of the season.

ALEX OWEIFALEYA scored the lone goal for Bendel Insurance, but it was not enough to prevent Rangers from claiming all three points in the crucial encounter.

With one game left to play this season, Rangers sit at the top of the NPFL table with 65 points from 37 matches, while Rivers United trail closely behind with 64 points from the same number of games.
