A Public Affairs Analyst, CHIGOZIE ANARADO, has condemned the six-billion-dollar loan approved by the Senate barely three and a half hours after reading the president’s letter of request.

Speaking yesterday on Urban Radio’s political programme, The Parliament, ANARADO criticized the swift approval of the president’s loan request by the National Assembly, stressing that loans borrowed have not been adequately utilized by the government to improve the country’s declining economy.

The analyst also accused members of the National Assembly of prioritizing personal gain over policies that would benefit the public.

UDOGU ADONIS, who joined from Ebonyi State, claimed that the government does not use loans for the benefit of citizens, and urged the government to explore alternative means of improving the country’s economy beyond crude oil

Following an additional 6 billion-dollar loan request by President BOLA TINUBU, which was swiftly approved by the Senate on March 31, critics say Nigeria’s total debt stock is set to rise to 155.1 trillion naira.
