Former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), DUMEBI KACHIKWU, has said that an alleged attempt to take control of the party has been thwarted following a recent court decision.
KACHIKWU, who reacted to a ruling by the Federal High Court which restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) from recognising a leadership faction led by DAVID MARK, described the judgment as a validation of his earlier claims that certain individuals were trying to seize control of the party through illegitimate means.
He insisted that the ruling has effectively halted what he termed a coordinated political takeover.
KACHIKWU further criticised the individuals involved, labeling them as desperate political actors whose efforts ultimately failed under judicial scrutiny.
