D’TIGERS OUT OF PRE-OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS AFTER LOSING SECOND GAME TO MALI.

The Nigeria male basketball team D’Tigers are out of the 2023 FIBA Pre-Olympic Qualifying tournament after they suffered another defeat to Mali 77-66 at Eko Convention Centre, Lagos.

The Nigerian side started the tournament on a losing note to Senegal on Monday but they were unable to change the story in the second game against Mali.

The host dominated the first quarter and they were able to secure a 17-15 win while they continued their dominance in the second quarter and won 43-38 going into halftime.

Mali lost the 3rd quarter to Nigeria 61-53 but their effort paid off in the final quarter as they took over the game and eventually won 77-66.
