DELTA STATE GOVERNOR, ALONGSIDE IFEANYI OKOWA, DEFECTS FROM PDPTO APC.

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and his deputy, Monday Onyeme, have officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Oborevwori moved to the APC along with his predecessor and running mate of Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 presidential election, Ifeanyi Okowa.

Others who moved to the ruling party with the governor are his commissioners and major stakeholders in the PDP in Delta State.

The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, FESTUS AHON, who confirmed the announcement yesterday following a closed-door meeting at the Government House in Asaba said the decision was reached after wide consultations with political stakeholders and in the interest of Delta’s long-term development.
