A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), DELE MOMODU, has criticized President BOLA TINUBU’S declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State, describing it as “anti-democratic”.

Recall that the president suspended Governor SIMINALAYI FUBARA, his deputy NGOZI ODU, and the Rivers State House of Assembly for six months in addition to the state of emergency owing to the political crisis in the oil-rich state, while he appointed a sole administrator to man the affairs of the state.

However, MOMODU, during an interview, joined the long list of personalities across the country to fault the president’s decision, insisting that he should not allow people to deceive him.

He further urged the president to do his job, as it is the only thing that can guarantee a second tenure for him.
