Nigerian Afrobeats star, DAVID ADELEKE, popularly known as DAVIDO, has questioned the presence of the Ebonyi State Resident Electoral Commissioner, PAULINE UGONYEKA, in Osun State ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

DAVIDO raised the concern in a post on his X page, alleging that UGONYEKA was not deployed to Osun State by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), claiming she was sent by  Governor, HOPE UZODIMMA, to influence the outcome of the election.

The singer called on the electoral body  to explain  UGONYEKA’s presence in Osun, while urging voters and other stakeholders to resist any attempt to manipulate the election.

DAVIDO ’s comments come as political parties and their supporters intensify preparations for the Osun governorship election.
