Portugal captain, CRISTIANO RONALDOhas confirmed that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the final World Cup appearance of his illustrious career.

The 41-year-old made the announcement on Sunday during a press conference ahead of Portugal’s Round of 16 clash against Spain.

RONALDO’S confirmation comes after his sister, KATIA, recently suggested that the Al Nassr forward would retire from international football following the conclusion of the tournament.

Putting speculation to rest, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner stated that he will not feature at the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

RONALDO has already made history as the oldest player to compete in six different FIFA World Cup tournaments, further cementing his place among football’s greatest players.
