COURT CLEARS CARDI B OF ASSAULT CHARGES

American rapper Cardi B has been cleared of assault charges in a 24 million dollar civil trial for allegedly slashing a woman’s face with her fingernails.

The victim Emani Ellis, who is Black, had claimed that Cardi B, shouted racial slurs, spat at her, and scratched her face with long fingernails during the altercation.

While,the 32-year-old rapper told the court that Ellis had aggressively approached her, attempting to film her with a phone as she entered a doctor’s office.

The jury in the city dismissed claims by plaintiff Ellis that the then-pregnant singer assaulted her while she was on her way to a medical appointment in Beverly Hills in 2018.
