ASTON VILLA THRASH FREIBURG TO WIN EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL. 

Aston Villa have emerged winners of this year’s Europa League final after defeating SC Freiburg 3-0 last night.

The Premier League side went into the encounter in Istanbul as favourites and quickly asserted their dominance in the match.

UNAI EMERY’s side headed into the break with a two-goal advantage following superb strikes from YOURI TIELEMANS and EMI BUENDIA.

After the restart, MORGAN ROGERS added a third goal for Villa as the English side cruised to the title in impressive fashion.

EMERY has now won the competition a record-extending fifth time, having previously lifted the trophy with Sevilla FC and Villarreal CF.
