APC DISMISSES PETER OBI’S CALL FOR PRESIDENT TINUBU’S RESIGNATION

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has rejected the call by Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC,  presidential candidate PETER OBI for President BOLA TINUBU to step aside ahead of the 2027 general election, insisting that the President remains physically fit, fully engaged in governance and continues to enjoy the support of many Nigerians.

Speaking during a television interview, APC National Chairman NENTAWE YILWATDA dismissed OBI’s claim that President TINUBU was too tired to continue in office, describing the assertion as baseless.

Reacting to suggestions that Nigerians could vote the President out in the next election, YILWATDA maintained that several policies and programmes introduced by the current administration had attracted public support.

The APC Chairman also highlighted key projects being executed by the TINUBU administration, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, improvements to the nation’s ports and the expansion of gas pipeline infrastructure, among other initiatives.

He, however, acknowledged the country’s security and economic challenges but insisted that the government was making consistent progress in tackling long-standing issues inherited from previous administrations.
