AC Milan have officially announced the dismissal of head coach, MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI following the club’s disappointing finish in the 2025–26 Serie A season.

The Italian giants also confirmed a major restructuring of their sporting department as part of efforts to rebuild after missing out on qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

In a statement released by the club, Milan described the team’s late-season collapse and eventual fifth-place finish as unacceptable, especially after spending much of the campaign among the league’s top contenders.

ALLEGRI had only returned to San Siro in May 2025 for a second spell in charge, replacing former coach SERGIO CONCEIÇÃO, but his return failed to produce the expected turnaround for the seven-time European champions.

Meanwhile, AC Milan will compete in the UEFA Europa League alongside Juventus FC next season.
