The Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, has suspended all forms of payments in public primary and secondary schools across the state, including levies for the Parents-Teachers Association, PTA.

Otti, who revealed this yesterday in his New Year broadcast to the people of Abia State, also announced the introduction of an imprest account system for Head teachers and school Principals to oversee the daily operations of their schools, emphasizing that no child should be exploited or deprived of educational opportunities in the state.
