American rapper, A$AP Rocky is set to buy English club, Tranmere Rovers after he was found not guilty of assault by a Los Angeles jury .

Reports say Rocky, whose legal name is RAKIN ATHELSTON MAYERS, will be part of a consortium that is primed to buy TRANMERE from MARK PALIOS.

The deal for the League Two outfit is believed to have been in the works for almost a year as the consortium is looking to buy over an 80 per cent stake in the club, worth £15million.

This will mean that Indonesian investors, Santini Group, will keep their minority stake and remain at Prenton Park.

The rapper had been charged with two counts relating to use of a semi-automatic weapon in a 2021 altercation with another hip-hop artist in Hollywood, but  was acquitted on Tuesday.
